The McDill Inland Lake and Rehabilitation District (the District) proposes to chemically treat up to 100 acres of McDill Pond to control excessive growth of exotic invasive aquatic plants. Clean Lakes, Inc. will conduct an application of the aquatic herbicide Reward (diquat) to infestations. It is anticipated that the treatment will occur end of May.
The water use restrictions for diquat are as follows:
There are no swimming or fishing restrictions. Do not use water from treated areas for irrigation purposes for 5 days after treatment.
Please plan for not using the water from McDill for irrigation for five days, and no boating the day of treatment.
